2 gauge (also called II gauge) is a model railway gauge originally 64 mm ( 2 1⁄2 in ), then standardised in 1909 at 2 in ( 50.8 mm ), a 20% reduction and a change in definition: from mm to inch. It has since fallen into disuse. The gauge was introduced by Märklin at the Leipzig toy fair in 1891.
Wire cross sectional area calculation. The n gauge wire's cross sercional area A n in square millimeters (mm 2) is equal to pi divided by 4 times the square wire diameter d in millimeters (mm): An (mm2) = (π/4)× dn2 = 0.012668 mm 2 × 92 (36-n)/19.5.
There are two main systems of measuring body jewelry sizes: Gauge ("ga" or just "g"). Millimeter ("mm").
